The goal with Developer is to create a full featured python development environment for the Icon & Braille + that will run on the PDA itself. While the project is in the early stages the goal is to be able to start out creating and editing files and move on to debugging and testing and finally to be able to create install packages.
samba

Installing the samba package will allow you to share files and folders on your icon with windows systems. By default, a folder called public will be created and shared with all on the Icon's hard drive, but this powerful tool can be configured to share files and folders in many different ways.
INSTALLATION
- Copy the samba-icon.ipk file to a folder on your icon. This can be done through disk drive mode or by use of a memory card.
- On the icon, open the file explorer application and browse to the drive and folder containing the installation package.
Introducing the Icon and Icon Braille + Wiki

It is just beginning now, but should be expanded as time goes on. You must have an account to add to the wiki, but that is all it takes. You can access it by selecting wiki from the menu on the left. Welcome to the Icon User site
Submitted by xequae on Thu, 2006-12-14 07:34.This site has changed focus. Instead of focusing just on developement support for the Icon and Icon Braille +, it will now be a general user site. Anyone interested in development will still be able to come here for information on developing applications for the Icon, but there will be a lot more information for all users as well as access to applications written for the Icon.
If anyone has any suggestions on anything they are interested in seeing on the site, feel free to respond in the comments below.
