ABC

ABC mode is a well-known and very easy way to type text. You use your unit's telephone keypad to use this mode. If your unit is not in ABC mode, press pound+program2 until you here ABC. Like text messaging on cell phones, each letter has symbols, letters and numbers. You press the certain number until you here the character you want. When you here the right character, just simply stop pressing the key. Wait a short amount of time, and the Icon/Braille Plus will type the character into your document, email message, form field, or what ever you are typing in. Below is a chart of all of the keys and what they type.

If you are new to this method of typing text, you can adjust how long your Icon/Braille Plus will wait before it types the letter. If you already are an experienced texter, you can speed it up. Please see the "settings" section of the wiki for more details on how to do this.
